Forkast is operated by ANICCA LLC. Forkast is a meal-planning app that builds a week of dinners around your grocery budget and gives you one grocery list with estimated prices for the store you shop at.

What we collect

Forkast stores the answers you give during setup — your ZIP code, the grocery store you pick, household size, the meals and nights you cook, your diet, the foods you won't eat, your kitchen equipment, the pantry staples you already have, and your weekly budget — plus your meal plans, which grocery items you have checked off, which recipes you marked as cooked or favorite, and your subscription status. That's it.

Where it lives

All data is stored on your device. Forkast does not require an account, and your answers and plans stay on your device. The only things that leave it are what you choose to send us: feedback and recipe suggestions (both described below). Your ZIP code is used on your device only, to adjust estimated prices for your region.

Feedback and bug reports

If you tap Request a feature, Report a bug, or a feedback prompt, Forkast opens a form hosted by Tally (tally.so). Only what you type or attach (for example a screenshot) is sent, plus basic app details so we can understand your report: app version, iOS version, device model, household size, store, weekly budget, the meals you plan, and the app theme. Your ZIP code is not sent. Nothing is submitted until you press submit. Tally's handling of form data is described in its own privacy policy. If you choose to email us instead, we receive what you write and your email address.

Recipe suggestions

If you tap Send under Suggest a recipe (below a recipe search that finds nothing, in the "What should we cook next?" prompt, or in You › Help us improve), Forkast sends what you typed to our own server (app.forkastmeals.com, run by ANICCA LLC), together with where in the app you sent it, the store and country your plan uses, and the app's language. Your ZIP code, name, email address and device identifiers are not sent, there is no account, and a suggestion is not linked to you. To limit repeated sends, our server keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for up to a day; the address itself is not stored. We read suggestions to decide which recipes to add. Nothing is sent until you tap Send.

Subscription processing

If you subscribe to Forkast Plus, payment and subscription status are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email, Apple ID, or payment card details. Forkast does not use any third-party payment or subscription service.

Sharing your list

If you tap Share on your grocery list, Forkast hands the text of the list to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is up to you and the app you choose; nothing is sent to us.

Analytics & tracking

Forkast does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any form of activity tracking. We do not use cookies or device fingerprinting. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

Children

Forkast is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Forkast, contact us and we will help remove any associated data.

Your rights

You can change any of your answers at any time in the You tab. You can erase all your data by deleting the app, which removes everything Forkast stored on your device. To delete feedback you sent us, email us. To cancel a subscription, use Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
