Tofu is operated by Anicca LLC. Tofu is a small to-do list with a plush bunny character who oversees your tasks.

What we collect

Most of what Tofu knows about you stays on your device: the tasks you create, your journal entries, your focus session history, the name you entered during onboarding, your streak count, and your subscription status.

Two features send content off your device so Tofu's AI can process it:

• Voice notes. When you speak a to-do or a journal entry, the audio recording is sent over HTTPS to our processing backend and on to OpenAI, which transcribes it to text. The audio is not stored on our servers — it passes through and is discarded once the transcript is returned to your device.
• Typed brain-dumps and journal entries. When you ask Tofu to sort a typed brain-dump into tasks, or to format a journal entry, that text is sent over HTTPS to our backend and on to OpenAI for processing, then the result is returned to your device. It is not stored on our servers.

Tofu has no account system, so this content is not linked to your name or any identity — only to a transient request.

Where it lives

Your tasks, journal entries, focus history, streaks, and the name you entered are stored only on your device, using Apple's SwiftData framework. Tofu does not sync your content to any cloud and does not keep a copy of it on any server.

The only things that ever leave your device are the voice and text content described above (sent transiently for AI processing, never stored by us) and your anonymous subscription state (described below).

Third parties

• OpenAI — transcribes your voice notes and processes typed brain-dumps and journal entries. Audio and text are sent over HTTPS; per OpenAI's API terms, this content is not used to train their models. See OpenAI's privacy policy and API data usage policy.
• RevenueCat — manages your Tofu Pro subscription with Apple. It receives an anonymous app/user identifier and the purchase receipt needed to verify and restore your subscription. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, task or journal content, or full payment card details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — handles all payments.

Analytics & tracking

Tofu does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any form of activity tracking. We do not use cookies or device fingerprinting. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

Children

Tofu is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Tofu, contact us and we will delete any associated data.
